Barney Vincelette, the author of The Night of God's Suicide and The Autistic Comedy, was born autistic and spent some of his childhood institutionalized after numerous expulsions from public and private schools. He saw a side of society few ever see, society as it behaves behind closed doors where the rest of the world is not watching.
After reaching adulthood he did a tour in the Air Force as a C-130 navigator, earning a Distinguished Flying Cross and three Air Medals in Vietnam. He has worked as an aircraft mechanic, a flight instructor, and a parachute rigger. He holds an airline transport pilot license which he earned after leaving the Air Force
He returned to school and completed his PhD in mathematical physics.
Dr. Vincelette offers the unique perspective of an outsider in his writing.
